Hi Pete, I am a friend of Wayne Pickstone, who sold his business to Steve Baker. His focus is more on copywring than on the health industry. I had never considered copywriting but am really looking forward to get involved since getting some info from you. I am looking forward to meeting you in Perth on Aug 15.Thanks Pete

Hey Bill... can't take credit for the cover, it ain't mine... just a graphic my web guy David Glendinning found. Looks good though. As for bonuses, well that's how my first offline newsletter started. (Anyone remember Dollar$ & Sense Newsletter?) They got a free 3 month, or was it 6 month subscription to the newsletter when they bought the manual. No forced continuity though. It was renewal marketing which is a whole different thing. Meaning, when the free subscription was up, I would have to try to get them to pay for a year. After a while, I learnt a big lesson from the big newsletter publishers which was I didn't wait until the last month of their subscription to get them back. I would do it through the free subscription period with an incentive for taking action now, not later. As for copywriting experience, I had none. Just a few books and tapes, a fierce determination to succeed, and a give it a go attitude. Ended up building that newsletter into around 1,000 subscribers all through offline marketing.

I finally get to see the “How To Make Money At Flea-Markets” manual (well the cover at least). Hey Pete was it a stand alone product or did you have bonuses? And when are you going to put up the original ad for this? I know you have a great understanding of the biz op market and have written big winners since, but how much copywriting knowledge did you have when you wrote your first ad for the Manual?

Hi Pete,
Keep the info coming, the more strings that can be added to the bow the better. It's a sobering thought that with the right knowledge from someone who has the proven track record and who is still working in the trenches, is still willing to help anyone with a healthy determination to acheive their goals and also help us make a few gentle adjustments to the rudder to keep the ship on course is terrific.
I think it's a worthy talent to be able use and understand all types of marketing and the media that can go with it, so that you can achieve different incomes streams, so keep the tips coming.
And I can't wait for the salesletter workshop.

Hi Marilyn, yes it CAN be done; however, there is a lot to know. I’ve been a thoroughly obsessed student and practitioner of info marketing for 10 years and I’m continually learning more.

It may surprise folks to discover what business this really is but that’s another topic for another day.

The point is, you can make this business as simple or as complex as you like. From a simple e-book site, to a three-tiered, sophisticated membership model like Crocodile Marketing’s (one of my businesses), it’s up to you how much time and effort you put in.

And yes, I do know folks who aren’t even online (gasp). Just quietly making a good income via classified and display ads with a bit of Direct Mail thrown in. It can be done.

Oh, and as I mentioned in the post; if there is interest on this subject, I’ll talk about it more. Cheers for the comment.
